Dear Otis,

When you came to me in March of this year, I could never have known how short our time together would be. You could not have given me a better greeting that day I picked you up at Andrea’s. Meant to be I believe.

You brought an incredible amount of joy into my life these past six months, greeting me every night with that big smile and tail-less bulldog wag.

I hope your weekdays on the couch listening to soft music and the long car rides to the country on the weekends brought you happiness at what would sadly be the end of your life. I know you loved your Saturday classes with Donna, your baths followed by tug of war, and your Sunday mornings sprawled out on the chaise on the deck.

You deserved to live like a king; I only wish you had had more time.

Rest well, sweet boy! I will miss you.
