Nigel was emaciated and hardly had any fur when he first came to us.

Hammer and Sweetpea (aka Hyacinth) came on a transport by Best Friends, to North Shore Animal League. Like many Bullies who spend their lives in a crate, Hammer was stressed by the new situation. He was in a large crate on an air conditioned, specially designed transport vehicle. With it all, he was overheating, and the transport stopped along the way to get Hammer  veterinary care. He is fine now after a couple of days on oxygen. Hammer was adopted and is having a wonderful life in the country.

Sweetpea is 5 yrs old, had quite a few pups in her life. Other than the usual ear and eye infections she is in pretty good shape. Sweetpea is a friendly, very playful girl who would prefer to be an only dog, she has had enough, and would like to relax in a home of her own, with a nice soft bed.

Big thanks to Beth Stern for helping us get these pups from North Shore Animal League.

Sweetpea has been adopted! Here she is in her new home:

Simba is doing much better. He responded to medication, and now is better on his balance. He will never be 100%, and he has loss of vision in the eye that was hit, but he is happy in a new home and his new family adores him.
